Tampa's BoomRX Targets Pharmacy Bottlenecks with Healthtech Platform

A Tampa-based pharmaceutical technology platform is aiming to fix one of the most persistent challenges for medical clinics, med spas and telehealth providers: pharmacy fulfillment.

BoomRX, a vertically integrated pharmacy and logistics platform that launched in June, has already signed up more than 1,000 providers, according to Kurt Lunkwitz, BoomRX co-founder and president.

The company said it is onboarding 70 to 75 new clinical accounts each week, a pace driven largely by telehealth operators and multi-location clinics looking to simplify
prescription fulfillment.

“If you can’t get the right medication into the patient’s hands — at the right quality or price — it’s a very weak link in the chain,” he said.
